WE ARE 100!
In 1925 Hubert Beckett, famed Hamilton photographer opened his business on James Street South. My father, Thomas L. Beckett apprenticed under his father and in 1966, changed direction and opened Beckett Gallery, Hamilton’s premiere art gallery in the same building. My father gave me early exposure to the art world, taking me to visit artist studios as a young child. In later years, i worked for my father and learned all about fine art, studied at Christies in London, England, and now here we are at Beckett Fine Art in 1925.
A century of art services in Hamilton.!

The Beckett family has contributed to the fabric of Hamilton’s industrial and arts communities for over 100years,.
The Beckett fine art legacy started in Hamilton in 1925 on James Street South in the homestead of Hubert Beckett, famed Hamilton photographer. Joined by his son, Thomas L. Beckett worked in photography before opening his fine art gallery, Beckett Gallery, in 1966.
