Beckett Gallery, Hamilton 1976 - Robert Bateman Solo Exhibition November 13 - 25, 1976, featured on the exhibition invitation cover. Beckett Fine Art has an original copy of the invitation.

• 1976 - Acquired by a private collector in Burlington, Ontario. 

• Subsequently acquired privately by the present collector's father in a house deal. The original owner was selling his house and it was acquired by the buyer as part of their deal. 

• The painting was gifted to the daughter of the owner in 1990 and she has decided to put it on the market after enjoying the past 31 years.

This is a classic piece painted when Robert lived in North Burlington. The painting measures 24 x 17.5 inches and is presently in its original frame. It had glass in front of the painting which I had removed by my framer... so, it's in absolute mint clean condition. The original frame measures 33 height x 27 width inches. No prints were ever made of it, which is also very rare. This is a very special Robert Bateman painting and would be an important addition to any serious collection.
